CRISTINA
massage yoga mindfulness
For over 11 years, I have been working as a resident massage therapist and yoga and mindfulness facilitator at Chailey Heritage Foundation, supporting children and adults with complex needs in a specialist environment.
My work takes place in settings where sensitivity, patience and deep listening are essential. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex physical or neurological conditions, sensory processing differences and varied communication styles.
Alongside my long-term role within specialist education and activity provision, I also offer massage and mindfulness support within local residential Mencap services, as well as working with private clients.
My practice centres on body awareness, relaxation, calmness and a sense of safety and connection. Sessions are gently paced and shaped around the individual or group, always prioritising comfort, regulation and emotional wellbeing.
This work can support nervous system regulation, reduce anxiety and physical tension, encourage sensory integration, and create opportunities for rest, connection and emotional ease.
I offer:
One-to-one therapeutic massage
Mindfulness sessions — one-to-one or small groups
Gentle yoga-informed movement — one-to-one or small groups
Support can be provided within educational settings, residential environments, or private settings — wherever individuals feel most comfortable and at ease.
My approach is grounded in respect, presence and loving-kindness, creating space for each person to experience comfort, connection and wellbeing in their own way.
Safeguarding and wellbeing are central to my practice. I work in line with safeguarding principles and maintain clear, respectful professional boundaries in all settings.
I welcome enquiries from families, carers and professionals who would like to explore how this support may be offered within their setting.
